Ah, that's how the tournament should have gone. Goku was just having a midlife crisis and didn't know how to express himself. Uub was hilarious in this one, with his "youkai!" and "your mother?" Poor kid! Good pun on Knock's name (took me a long time to get it though^^"). I also had fun envisioning Goten in his sky blue hair.

I always thought Goku was having issues over those ten years based on the choices he kept making at that final tournament and various characters commenting on how bored and down-in-the-dumps Goku had been recently. It meshed so well with his actions in the new animated special: his boredom at having to farm, how he was acting out at the party, and trying to grab Vegeta's attention any way he could. X3 He definitely had a crisis on his hands.


Thank you! Characters I don't work with often were used in this one (Uub, Trunks, Goten, Pan) and I had fun with them. :3

It took me a while to come up with an alternate spelling for a pun name. X3


There's an author's note by Mr. Toriyama in one of the final chapters about Goten cutting his hair because he didn't want to look like Goku; so I took that and went from there. X3 *Kind of wants to draw sky-blue-haired Goten* XD

I love it! I knew that Chi Chi would keep Goku around. And if she didn't, then she would have hunt him down to the ends of the Earth. Poor Goku, he's just bored. He craves excitement all the time.

Nice side story with Goten's image issues.

I haven't done a side-story in a while and this one was fun because I got to wondering why the author would need to put a little note in the 3rd to last chapter specifically saying that Goten cut his hair so he wouldn't look like Goku. I just expounded on that. X3 Trunks would ultimately be involved with it.
